Thank you Manny! Thank you Uke! I love you SaxFace! Larry eyebrows are really cool. Lux Fiat looks exactly like Harry Connick Jr. I would like to apologize to anyone who sat next to me (Green Bean and Dr. Matrix come to mind. And Uke, who had to listen to my loud and drunken ramblings for a whole cab ride). In _real_ real life I am not nearly so loud. Blue Twylight and her friend remained suspiciously clearheaded through the whole ordeal. . . I mean night. No everyone quiet down. My head still hurts. ---

It was so great to meet all of you - I had a wonderful time. Manny, the only reason I said you were a seedy looking crack head was because I wanted to bash a moderator and have this thread moved to the pit. That’s drunk logic, you know. Well, I made it home in one piece, and got to work on time this morning, which is amazing in and of itself. I had an incredible time, to say the very least. Parts of the night are a bit hazy. I¡¦ll try to recap a few interesting moments as logically as possible. „h At the restaurant-My screen name is pronounced sigh- cat, not pussycat, apparently there had been some debate before Demo and I arrived (late, no comment). DrMatrix would later tell me the split was mainly gender-based with the men pronouncing it correctly. Cajun Man described what he envisioned upon seeing my screenname, I am sorry to say I can not recall it exactly, something about a psychedelic cat and an Easter egg. Cajun Man if you¡¦re reading, please post that description. ## „h Uke and SaxFace like to talk about saxophones, I thought it interesting, but apparently some dopers had had enough. Also, Uke is one classy guy, and he¡¦s much more attractive than Jerry Springer. He recommended an Alfred Hitchcock film that was either based or shot in Santa Rosa, I can¡¦t seem to recall that either. (Yes, the night gets fuzzier still.) So Uke, please post that movie title for me. Thanks. SaxFace likes NY best of all the places she has lived (of course) and has a really loud laugh, not obnoxious loud, the kind of laugh that makes you want to hang out with her cause she¡¦s having so much damn fun! „h Green Bean and Billdo are exceptionally cool (like all dopers, right?) We talked about first posts and post count and [deleted]. And what the hell is CMA?? I haven¡¦t the faintest; I may have just been nodding my head at that point in the night, to appear to be in the conversation. „h Joe Cool and I had an interesting conversation about The Ramones and a few other bands that took a nasty turn when Demo overheard him dis CA bands Green Day and Blink 182. „h I told Surgo I was drunk, I¡¦m not clear what I said after that, I am sure parts of it may have been incoherent, I stumbled back to my chair. „h Manhattan likes to spend money on beer. He has major Karma stockpiled. Thanks, manny! „h BigGirl is familiar with psychic orgasms as well. „h Right now I am praying I did not make an ass of myself at any point in the night. „h I didn¡¦t even realize Demo and I were glued to each other, hope we didn¡¦t gross you all out. „h Our newfound friends at the bar were Colin and Michelle. Back at work…uugghh. ☹ Ok, Psy and I were just a _tad_ late. So sue us! 😉 The first thing I noticed was a huge table of people, exactly half of which seemed to be having a rocking good time, the other half quiet and reserved. (I had been looking for a moderator hat to recognize Manny, he later gave some bullshit answer like, “Moderator hats are only for GD Mods.” anyway, we took care of that later.) Fortunately, we were recognized as Doper material before we had the chance to ask a group of strangers if they were Dopers. The restaurant was very cool, although seating arrangements made it difficult to talk to everyone(the price of late arrival I guess.) We did get some good “quality time” with Lux Fiat and his buddy, and I got the inside scoop on Dr. Matrix’s screen name. After hanging outside Acme, and enjoying Sax’s heckling of a bum/self-titled comedian, we stormed the streets of Manhattan for about 5 or 6 blocks to the bar, on the way discussing the merit of relationships that begin online with Blue Twilight. Dempsey’s was _very_ cool, and the table arranging wasn’t nearly as rough as it sounded. Manny treated us all to pitchers and pitchers and _pitchers_ of beer and cider(I second the major karmic credit for Manny.) The conversation went here and there and back again, nothing too serious(Well, until the aesthetic/underlying value thing came up.) Uke hooked me up with some good Dead info, GreenBean graciously gave me opinions on topics she is probably sick of talking about and JoeCool narrowly escaped death by a combination of partial retraction of his Green Day/Blink 182 comments as well as the promise to send me some new Suicidal Tendencies MP3s.
