Yes, my dear **Wilson** , I used to be SilkyThreat. I only changed because more than a few posters kept reading it as Silky **Throat** , and well…I got enough hassles, ok?? 😉 [sub]I am astounded somebody noticed this![/sub] Sylkyn is also shorter. I’m still **SilkyThreat** on fathom, however. ---

Ooh, Ino! Ino! Ask me! I’ll be **damned**! I wondered whatever happened to **Silky Threat**. Which reminds me, there was a poster named **throatshot** (or a reasonable facsimile); she changed hers, too. And it’s a name I’d recognize, too. If I could remember it. ---

The bleak and prolonged Winter of Our Missed Content so befuddled l’il ol’ me that I could remember that had had a username but not for the life of me remember what precisely it was. I used to be **algernon** , but the Great and Powerful **TubaDiva** let me grow up to become **Algernon**. (thanks Jenny!) [hijack continuance] I have always pronounced it meh-HIT-a-bell. ME-hit-a-bell? meh-hih-ta-BELL? me-hih-TA-bul? Nope. I don’t buy it. Unless it’s one of those words that are pronounced completely differently than it’s spelled. [/hijack] ---

To answer **lel’s** questions upthread, **Berkut** was **Joey G**. **A Monkey With a Gun** was **Beeblebrox**. No hamsters were harmed in the creation of this post. Some were overworked, however. **Boyo Jim** had another name, too… **yojimboguy**? I’ll leave that proof as an exercise to the reader. **Sylkyn** , I’ve always liked the way your new name looks on the screen - something about the two y’s, I think. I had always wondered if you had changed names or I’d just never noticed you. IIRC, you discussed it a couple of weeks ago in another thread, and it stuck in my mind. ---

Heh. There was a show called [Communications from a Cockroach](http://www.nytheatre-wire.com/ab01063t.htm) last year that was the second musical made from the Archy canon (after “Shinbone Alley”, in the Fifties with Eartha Kitt as Mehitabel). They pronounced it Meh-HITT-a-belle, which is what I go with. In my brain it was originally Meh-HEE-ta-belle but I have punished the brain with alcohol and endless computer gaming, so that won’t happen again. Adore Don Marquis, even though he had a life that would make Ernest Hemingway weep. ---
