Actually it’s only been _almost_ forever. The White Sox won the World Series (over the Cubs!) in [1906](http://www.baseball-reference.com/postseason/1906_WS.shtml).

I am a Sox fan and I have pulled for the Cubs to win a World Series. Beyond that I actually believe it is possible in the next ten years. As for the White Sox, does anyone really care? I don’t think I have ever heard anyone bemoaning the cursed fate of the White Sox, nor do I see management making any moves in the direction of fielding a really competitive team. Perhaps someone in Chicago can give me some perspective.
