Aha! I get it now. So it’s just, like, David Bowman getting transformed into a Star Child, only a little quicker and more efficient.

I think it’s a pun on the line “time for an advanced pose”. The strip is saying the gang that kidnapped him are poseurs and they’ve converted him.

I’m not sure how it could be anything OTHER than a yoga gang/cult forcibly recruiting a new member.

And I live near a yoga studio and young women in very tight pants are always around.
