Stupid OGLAF site is unreachable now. It used to do this every Sunday when the new strip went up, then it was all better for a while. Now it’s hosed again. ---

I don’t know what the phrase punitive pearl necklace means. Is it some reference to an earlier strip? By the way, the site hasn’t been down for me for a long time now. But maybe I’m just lucky. ---

Finally got on the site, that server stinks. I don’t get how the evidence points back to the apprentice? If the curse jumped from person to person, and we do see a bunch of guard bodies, the dead baby monster and lizard of regret (or whatever he his), how do they follow that long chain back to the apprentice? ---

Well, for one thing, Ivan was in possession of the arrow when it all started. And they know Ivan sneaked out of the castle when he had strict orders not to. And they inspected the text that Ivan had written on the wall, perhaps they recognised his handwriting. And Ivan was the one who told them that the monster had done it, whereas they fished the monster out of the moat with an arrow wound later. Need more evidence? ---

Once they found the arrow of regret in one of the castle guards, it would be clear that the tale the apprentice told of an assassin in the castle was a lie, IIUC if it had been the assassin using the arrow, then someone that the assassin did \*\*not \*\*want to be dead would had been killed. ---
