I am not convinced that Navaan was spitting up blood. She has gotten all the information from the prisoner, doesn’t need him anymore, wants to suck out the rest of his blood, and is keeping him calm until too late. And damn, she looks good in her 1st panel. I’m not sure if I am disappointed by or respect Grier blocking the gratuitous upskirt in her last panel. ---

I just realized that the password to get into the chamber is also the very thing that you need to kill the funsnake: a stick. Well, a pretend sword. Which a stick can be, anyway. ---

Hah. Trust Navaan to get [sidetracked](http://oglaf.com/sideshow/1/). But surely Grier has been taken prisoner for later sacrifice to the funsnake, which Navaan will arrive to interfere with in an amusing fashion, because it would be just so bogus otherwise. 🙂 ---

Grier is badass enough to taunt her captors into tying her face-first to the stake just so she can shin up it and free herself… only to finally fall prey to the fun-god’s power despite her immense willpower and general grumpiness. Come on, Navaan, this is no time to be a ditz! And well done Morag the Immortal on being the world’s most peeved alarm clock! ---

I think the pacing of this story will work in the archives or a print collection, but at three pages a week, it seems to be dragging a little bit. Here’s hoping they wrap it up soon and get back to writing comics with punchlines. ---

I’m disappointed by the use of “fukken” instead of “fuckin’”, but that’s my cross to bear.😛 I just watched Richard Hammond (on Crash Course) scale a tree with spikes and a rope; Grier must have some nice, strong thighs to match his use of foot spikes. ---
