With 99 percent of precincts reporting ( As of this afternoon ) , Balderson has 50.1 percent of the vote to O’Connor’s 49.3 percent. The Green Party candidate is even odder than I thought. An amateur astronomer I once met cast doubt on New Age claims of Pleiadean visitors to Earth, because the stars of the Pleiades are too young and too hotfor life to have formed there. Also too close together?: I don’t know enough about astrophysics to evaluate this, but it seems to me the level of radiation within the cluster must be too lethal for anything to live there. ---
