You can’t be serious. All my life I’ve been trying to escape the curse of gorm. Now I’ve succeeded. My tires are tubeless, my steel is stainless, my (blush) … well, there’s no gorm on it. ---

Regardless, I look back at that message, which he did not ask me to keep quiet on, and I think that, Cecil need not post. It seems to me that real, honest-to-goodness Dopers do not need Cecil–in a way, if we follow those guidelines he stated, then we are all Cecil; and we carry his legacy of truthfulness, citations, and facts forward. Given all that, then my dear friend **Beck** , if you want to see Cecil, then you need only look into a mirror. ---

**Beck** , you might think so, but Cecil doesn’t typically do that. Like I said, I’ve been in touch with him over the years, and he feels that we’ve been going along just fine without him–fighting ignorance, specifically. He’s happy to sit by and watch us carry on his fight, because he knows we can do it. And it seems to me that we have been. I will say, “get well soon,” **Beck**. You’re a close friend, and I wish you well. As does Cecil, I’m sure, though he may not say such. ---
