^ I too wondered why it was closed. The thread title wasn’t _too_ ambiguous (hey, I’ve seen **lots** worse than that) and it could’ve generated quite a fun Home Depot pile-on (or praise thread, whatever). ---

Yeah, closing that was bizarre. I could see posting something asking the OP to come back and elaborate a bit more, or even a slight admonishment like, “[OP], this may be MPSIMS, but you need to put enough effort into your post so people know what you’re talking about.” But it seems dumb to close the thread. It’s a slightly confusing but obviously lighthearted thread in a forum for lighthearted stuff. ---

Hmmm…on the one hand, I look at it again now and I get the joke that went over my head the first time (and, clearly, over the heads of those who reported the thread). Yes, there most definitely _are_ “too mundane and pointless for MPSIMS” threads (hell, I’ve started plenty of them), but this probably doesn’t qualify. On the other hand, reopening the thread would _I was wrong_ initially. Plus, I’d be capitulating to the whims of the Teeming Millions and caving the first time I was called out in ATMB, which would mean all the other mods would totally make fun of me at our next sooper-secret world-domination get-together. I don’t know if my fragile psyche could handle that. Ok, reopening. Enjoy kissing balls. ---
