I just got some silica gel in mouth (don’t ask how). What should I do? Induce vomiting? Call a doctor? I managed to spit most of it out but there are no instructions as to the procedure for accidental ingestion. The freakin’ thing just says “DO NOT EAT”. Please help. ---

can I have your stereo? Seriously though. IANAD, but I think that if you spit most of it out, you’re fine. It’s not like they’re packing uranium in with your new sandals. drink a lot of water and flush it out. jarbaby ---

Relax, it isn’t poisonous. Try to flush as much of it out as you can, then don’t worry about it. Silica gel is pretty inert stuff. It won’t hurt you if you swallow just a little bit. ---

I even stated that in the OP, but well, I was bored you see, and um… well… you know how it is when you… ah hell, there is no way to save face on this one. Hey, don’t worry about it. I tried it once, didn’t swallow, but just put one little piece on my tounge. It was neat, it sucked up all the moisture and stuck on. It was a little hard to get off, tho. Nevertheless, I recomend it to all! (Yeah, I know it says “DO NOT EAT”–that’s why I did it!)
