I was distracted for surely less than 30 seconds, and I seem to have missed something crucial. I saw them on a lake in a boat, looking for the little girl’s body, then I had to look away for a second, I heard “stop the boat,” then I saw her body had been found. Then I was distracted for a few seconds, then I saw that she was alive and (so to speak) well in the hospital. What did I miss? Where did they find her and why wasn’t she dead if she was in the lake? Or was that last scene some bizarre hallucination on Mr. Sensitive Policeman’s part? -FrL- ---

They found her on the opposite shore of the lake. She was alive, but, I suspect, barely. They cut her throat, which appeared to damage her vocal cords but didn’t cut the artery. ---
