# Oh de Toilette

A group of folks they type (some shouted)  
most have fun but some just pouted  
and while they play and drink their beer  
idjits post stuff like thisun here

Back and forth from thread to thread  
the SDMBers danced  
and there were some who had high hopes  
of message board romance

So lines were drawn and rules set  
they say that all must follow  
but boys and girls when left alone  
will on occasion wallow

Euphemistic hints of lust  
can sometimes be damn good  
but it’s difficult to play the game  
typin’------------sportin’ wood

… and there’s a nice echo of E.E. Cummings in the third stanza, but it doesn’t really scan. I’ll give it an 83.

Perhaps, if we collect enough Straight Dope songs/poems, we should, like the Salvation Army and similar groups, go and sing loudly in public so that people throw pennies, thus aiding the new SDMB server fund.

Of course, it might be necessary to split into groups A, singing in order to acquire money, and group B, singing in order to be paid to go away.

OK, lame idea, but it’s a distraction from Florida court people at present on television.
