:rolleyes: I just hopped on Facebook to see what was going on. I see my dad has “friended” a new woman. Now, my dad doesn’t have many “friends” on FB - nearly all are family. So this is news. Out of curiosity I clicked her profile. … She’s a smoking hot blonde, personal trainer and massage therapist, a couple years younger than me. Most of her public pics are her posing or flexing in spandex. :smack: So I called him immediately, did some small chat about the re-fi I’m doing, then flat out asked him: “So who’s that hot young blonde you just friended on FB?” He was genuinely confused. He recognized her name, and was all “I just got a friend request from her and clicked it! She’s a client of mine (he’s a CPA), I figured I better not decline it or it’d seem rude!” At this point I chuckled. He’s absolutely not the philandering type, and a woman like this would have no interest in my (great, but doofy) dad. _wicked grin_ “Does mom know? She’ll be pissed. :D” He sputtered a bit, then just muttered “Oh jeez, just talk to your mother.” My mother was equally amused and annoyed. “Oh, for God’s sake, he’s nearly 60. He has **no** business being on Facebook at all.” 😛 ---

I don’t even have two dozen Facebook friends, but they are all true friends that I have had good times with and want to keep in touch. When I see people with a couple hundred friends, I assume that they have different standards than I do, acquaintances, clients, distant relatives, friends of friends, etc. Nothing wrong with it, I just don’t know that many people I want to keep such close tabs on. ---

Her profile looks real. I’d say she’s real, just a hilariously incongruous FB “friend” to my older middle-aged dad. ---

Hmf! My immediate reaction would have been “Where do you get off policing my Facebook account, and how dare you try to tell me with whom I should and should not communicate?” How nice to know that Big Mother is there to scold him for being a naughty boy too. :rolleyes: ---

I don’t get the big deal. Is she trying to scam him or something? Otherwise, it looks like he just friended a casual acquaintance on fb, something everyone with a facebook account does all the time. ---

I think the OP’s assumption was that his dad had friended a porn account, only to learn she’s actually real and knows his dad (and isn’t porn). Dunno why it was a big deal after that point, though.
