You don’t understand. He came here from the USSR. I think. Has he ever mentioned it? I think maybe once, albeit obliquely. Nonetheless, I’m pretty certain he did, which is very important because you don’t understand, he came here from the USSR. Did I mention that yet? It really makes all the difference, particularly because it explains everything. That is, it explains everything once you realize he’s originally from the USSR, something he’d probably only mention if you asked him directly, so I think I’ll tell you now. Also, every Soviet citizen’s experience was exactly the same and they would all agree with him. He has this insight because he originally comes from the USSR (or so I heard once). ETA: Shoot, I should really preview before hitting ‘submit’. I forgot to mention that I think he’s from the USSR, so his understanding of government should be accepted. He doesn’t like to tell you that himself. That is, that he’s from the USSR. ETA2: Oops, I forgot to mention that he came from the USSR. That he comes from the USSR. My parents escaped to the west from Communist Hungary in the 1950s. They are very anti-Communist. Yet they totally disagree with Terr on just about every point. So it isn’t just that. ---
