I once read about a South American TV ad that used, I swear, an actor playing Hitler as a spokesman. The ad was for potato chips called “X Chips”, and the ad apparently included Hitler munching some chips, then becoming a jolly old soul as the swastika morphed into the X Chips logo. Apparently they wanted to imply that you just can’t be a nasty person when you’re eating their chips. ---

And I’m sure Marlene Dieterich would have appreciated having the opportunity to at least VOTE on whether her voice should be used as the background music on one of those M-B commercials . . . I HATE it when they use films/recordings of long-dead artists to pitch goods! ---
