# Oh man, I've got the blues . . .

. . . and they _kick ass!_

I just found one of my old stashes of B.B. King, and threw it onto my iTunes. Then I slapped in a dabble of John Lee Hooker, a dab of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and topped it off with some Peter Malick (who I found from a duet album with Norah Jones).

Oh man, this kicks ass. I like the heavy guitar, almost “bee bop” blues, so do you guys have any other recommendations I might look into? Heck, with a mix like this, what would one call it? It’s not ‘guitar blues’, and I really don’t think it qualifies as Delta Blues. . .

Look into the Chicago Blues genre: Howlin’ Wolf (especially “Rockin’ the Blues”), Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Jimmy Reed…

I second the Howlin’ Wolf recommendation. One of the greatest voices and hottest bands there ever was.
