Hmm… I’m not sure what I’m qualified to advise on: school, women, world domination or ADD. Failing a class isn’t the end of the world. Parallax and I failed quite a few but for far different reasons like: not studying, mudding and inattendance. Yup when I was in college I liked to stay up all night playing games and then skipped classes in the morning. What a shock eh? But Parallax graduated and someday when the kids are a little older so will I - I had a 3.85 gpa the second time around before I withdrew to have the munchkin girl! Women are not the enigmas we make ourselves out to be. Find one who shares your interests and you will go far! Just remember to look for clues that the girl likes you (or doesn’t) and respond appropriately! Parallax was dense as a brick when it came to figuring out I was trying like hell to flirt with him! Eventually we got it all sorted though. Don’t waste time with girls who are sending mixed/no signals! Life is too short to sit in the corner and watch everyone else dance. World domination is a worthwhile if lofty goal. Unfortunately I too have ADD and thusly have not made many inroads towards this goal. That and my underlings have trouble following my memos due to my dyslexia. I guess I will have to muddle through as a suburban housewife for the time being 🙂 ---

Also FTR since we’re dishing on guyzngalz (btw, thanks fer the welcome home **Maureen** ) Let me just say that one of my criteria for a BF has always been whether or not he had chick friends that were not just females he wanted to bone. A guy without good female friends signals to me that he doesn’t really relate well to women as people, and that indicates that he probably won’t relate well to me. so, while (((hugs))) to MisterOpty, let me be the first to really encourage you to have as many female friends as you have room for in your life. ---

Actually, it’s getting them to adore you long term… So much is forgivable in a woman’s eye when she finds you adorable…(the exceptions?..cheating or being abusive…no one is that adorable) ---

the trick to getting them to stick around is to have kids. Wife and I always threaten each other with “Divorce me and _you_ get the kids.” works every time! ---

Ya know I think my relationship success is more luck than anything else… that and watching my parents slowly self destruct and then seeing myself wander down that same pathway with a string of good for nothing boyfriends and waking up one day and deciding I was not going to spend the rest of my life in hell… the first 23 years was bad enough! (I think I managed to have more shit tossed at me in those 23 years than most people manage in a lifetime! Remind me to pit my parents one day.) There was a little overlap between finding Mr Right and getting to the point where we could begin our ‘real lives’ together. It’s harder than it looks to completely extricate yourself from abusive and dysfunctional parents. _sigh_ They really shouldn’t have had kids! So somehow I met this incredible guy who was too shy to realize how awesome a catch he was so he was still available when I stumbled along and amazingly enough he genuinely likes me faults and all! That was the lucky part. The rest is just some honest communication and the fact that while we love eachother… we like eachother as friends too. So many of my friends who have horrible relationships with their spouses married in the infatuation phase and have learned that when you factor out sex and kids there is nothing else there. Quite sad. (And I’m not saying sex and kids are bad things but you need more than that to sustain a happy and healthy marriage in the long haul) ---
