Yes I have shoveled my share of snow, it’s just been a loooong time. I lived for a couple of winters just outside of Detroit of all places!! YIKES…got fed up with snow. I spent a lot of time in Italy where I didn’t have to shovel snow…I lived at the foot fo the mountain where you only get trace snow and don’t have to shovel. You drive to the top and ski all day and get into these great hot tubs surrounded by lovely snow and filled with hard bodied pilots…hmmm maybe that is what I am really missing. Now Dave…are you offering to be my friend plus…? Am I supposed to teach you the ways of the world? And I should wear thigh boots while doing this? **Iva** Not to shift gears radically here but tell me why I will like Tuscon better than Pheonix. I have never been to either one. I was only thinking of the lack of trees and a few red blooded American males I know living near by but what will I like better about Tuscon? I’ve never been to either one. ---

Mmmm, snow. I miss snow. Yes I’ve had to shovel it. Yes, I know the glory of scraping hardened glaze off the windshield when your gloves are not shedding the wind and the ice curlies somehow end up snaking up your jcaket sleeves freezing your wrists. I still miss it. One night, the ex and I (another spawn of the rockies) were walking through a parking lot at Thansgiving time, wearing nothing but jeans and t-shirts. We simultaneously looked at each other and said, “this is just wrong, we should be wearing jackets and falling down on the patches of black ice”. Winter should be cold! ---

**OPTIONAL!?!?!** That is complete and total blasphemy!! How dare you utter that, **Wyatt**! Seat heaters are optional. Power windows are optional. Onions on your burger are optional. But winter?!? Winter should occupy 200 days of the year with Spring taking over the remaining 165. That sounds like a fair proportion. Yeah I kinda think Winter should be optional too I am definitely a Summer person but I haven’t been in a winter in a while. Yep - some parts of Texas get real snow but not in South Texas where I am. San Antonio just gets rain. Rocky? 12 months of winter and Spring? Gee, I once thought I could love you…yick…no dah’lin…how am I gonna work on my tan that way? ---

Snow belongs in the Sierras, where we can ski on it and look at it on the way to the casino and say “ooh, how pretty,” then drive back to our regular lives where it’s warm. Relatively. **mipiace** is right about South Texas. San Antonio just gets rain. Once all that arctic air finally gets down here, it’s dried out by the land and warmed up by the latitude. Now in Minnesota, where I’m at college, it snows.
