It is hard for now but OH SO worth it…just hang in there. There will be snuggly things worth cuddling with again and you will feel so much better. Hang in there girl. hee…I do love our darling host to tears, **tanookie** , but pushing his buttons is one of the great joys in my life. Just as pushing mine is one of his. Our arguments about my bad manners are the hingepin of our friendship. 😃 I’m well aware that the only way he likes kids is sauteed in cream sauce. Thank you, Than you, really you’re to kind. I’ts great to be back here in OMFG land. My recent trip to Oklahoma city was good fun, with lots of hot tubbing involved. I was visiting a cousin, his wife and their three kids. The children are a four year old girl who is good as gold, and sweet as sugar, and twin two year old boys. I am now of the firm belief that children under this age are untrainable 🙂 One of the boys is named after me, and man it’s disconcerting to be oh let’s say replacing a water heater and hear your name being shouted with full matriarchal authority. I mean “ShotgunZen” isn’t a very common name and hearing “ShotgunZen! Come here right now! Right now! I’m going to start counting!” was weird. I did have a lot of fun though. I’m pretty handy and I always end up helping people with projects around the house when I visit (hey it beats sitting around watching TV). Then we generally retired to the hot tub with refreshments once the kids were down. I was chided for not bringing a female companion though. Do any of you lovely ladies live within driving distance of Oklahoma City? Is ANYTHING in driving distance of OKC? 🙂 I ‘splained I was more interested in visiting and spending time with them… lol it was a fun time. Whenever we went out somewhere and took the kids I got to be in charge of the four year old. Before I left she promised to love me forever. I told her “Oh sure that’s what you say now” 🙂 but quickly learned that the only correct response is “I love you too sweetie” As a souvenir of that trip I’m not sporting a nifty new sinus infection. I am currently sitting in my office with a sign that says “CAUTION probably CONTAGIOUS” and has a crude drawing of a skull. Possible problems… You don’t want to be passing out your card with your business number etc on it to just anyone so either be selective about that OR here’s another thought. Business cards are cheep to have made. And if you’re paying to have them made you can put ANYTHING YOU WANT on them. Hummmm “Vice President of foreign acquisitions”… Let your imagination go wild 🙂 You can also ‘splain that this card info isn’t correct, because you haven’t had time to have new ones made since your promotion. Then you can put totally bogus information on the front. LOL I’m liking this idea better and better. I’ve never actually had cards made, but I have used my card to give someone my home number. This has the advantage of showing them that you work, where you work, and what your title is… If this isn’t necessarily a good thing, go with the having cards made thing 🙂 And now I’m due to go shuffling down the hall looking all pale and unhealthy… ---

Ok, this is weird. Posts are showing up long after they’ve been posted. I swear some of these posts were **not** there and I’ve posted and they’re showing up in between making me look like I’m ignoring people when really I’m not, but there’s these posts that just pop up and I’m not talking about the difference between when I posted and then something showing up in the time it took me to post. I’m talking about them showing up an hour later but being in between and yes, I’ve refreshed in the meantime and they really and truly weren’t there and oh, I just don’t know. I think I’ll just drink more coffee and drive off a bridge now. No, I wouldn’t want to drown. I’ll just sort of quietly fade away. Yes, that’s so me. Quiet. And shy. Let’s not forget shy. ---

The skis stopped. He didn’t. And, suddenly there was a dip in the air, as well as one in the ground. A few seconds later, there was a dip _on_ the ground. He did a perfect Superman impression, followed by a flawless faceplant. I’m sure the girls were impressed. I know I was.
