Yes, eye flick. It’s the simplest way of asking the lady’s permission to kiss her. Assuming you’re both feeling good about each other, you’re likely to be facing her straight-on, and probably fairly close together. If you’re not, moving into that position is step one. If she turns away, frowns, or backs off, stop. You’re done, and you ain’t gettin’ no kiss. If she stands her ground, and maintains eye contact, she wants you to kiss her. Or, in the case of the clueless, at least trusts you aren’t going to do something objectionable. If you’ve gotten close enough so that you can make contact, if you both lean in a little, you’re in the right position, and the signs are good. That’s when you do the eye flick. It’s not a wink, a blink, or any other eyelid thing. In fact blinking is bad, at this point. You want to maintain eye contact, _except_ during the flick. The flick is simply making eye contact, then flicking a glance down at her lips, and back to her eyes. If it’s the first time you’re kissing this particular person, it’s probably a good idea (and may be unavoidable, if you’re nervous, but that’s fine) to do it several times as you slowly close the distance between you. But, the key is the eye contact. You want to maintain it as much as you can, breaking off **only** for the flick to her mouth. If she doesn’t pull away, turn away, or look away, the answer is “Yes! I want you to kiss me!” Even the clueless will turn away if they don’t want to kiss you, when you get too close. (If that happens, give them the softest, sweetest kiss on the cheek you can.) It works for both sexes, too; the kisser asks, the kissee answers, both using the same signals. Doesn’t matter who takes which role, though it’s usually the man making the move. **Flamsterette\_X** - yep, major typo. **Masstricht** - how nice of you to come out of lurk-mode. But, don’t feel badly. I’m sure you know of it, but never gave it a name. **tanookie** - I don’t know **Parallax** very well, but I suspect he’s another one of the relatively clueless, like **Robot Arm** and me. At times, I can pick up the hints; at other times, I’m completely oblivious, as several of the posters in this thread have pointed out. **mipiace** - if you’re still lurking around here, I’m sorry. Count me among the clueless … or partially clueless anyway … Never _knowingly_ done the eye flick, but I think I _have_ done it out of “instinct”. It just seems natural … after all, gotta make sure of what you’re aiming at. 🙂 ---

Yeah, me too, **Tanookie**. Seems to be a major problem with Nice Guystm. They don’t trust their gut on when the right moment is, and end up letting it pass by two or three times, til you finally get exasperated and take matters into your own hands. So to speak. ---

Hey, I’ll take another weekend like we had if we both understand that a fling is all it is. 😃 So, I’m gonna just enjoy the evening, the company, and the festival. _If_ something else comes up, bonus! Rocky, watch for her touching you (hand on your arm, shoulder, hand, etc). Usually a clue that she’s interested. Also (and I’m telling on myself here) I tend to watch a guys lips a lot if I want a kiss, but the moment hasn’t presented itself yet. Good luck!
