As for the multiple quotes, Copy-And-Paste is your friend. 🙂 Of course, you can only do that in the preview window. But, you’re not off by much; you just left out the /'s in the closing tags. Preview also gives you the opportunity to correct your typos, should you choose to (and, some people get pretty snotty about them, so you might wanna consider it), as well as giving you access to a bunch of toys. _Stranger in a Strange Land_ was one of my favorite books, as a teenager. Life-changing, in some ways. I haven’t re-read it in years. **whiterabbit’s** maternal unit checking in here. We didn’t KNOW she was going to meet a guy when we all went out to the comedy club the other night! We were going to see another comic, who’s a friend of MINE! Excusez moi for being present when sparks flew! (But you notice she never gave me credit for passing on her phone number via my friend to this nice young man???) Anyway, the shoe thing. I have to admit I HAVE sat with female friends and discussed guys’ shoes. But strictly in a professional context – i.e. sitting in a courtroom as the reporter, and later discussing with the clerk the really nasty soft wrinkled loafers one of the attorneys was wearing. If you want the professional power look, those are NOT the right shoes. Same thing for suit collars that leave a half inch of clearance behind the neck. Minimal tailoring is NOT an unreasonable thing to expect since most men’s suits are tailored for free – unless you’re buying them at K-Mart, of course! ---

Strange crossbreeding indeed, what can I say? Actually, I started off here at SDMB as candy (butrscotch), but in a moment of epiphany realized that my true vocation in life is as a mama tiger for my young. **whiterabbit** actually comes from candy, too (have you ever had it? The most addictive candy I know of), so it makes more sense in that context! I’ve known people who don’t read their email for days or even weeks. Weird, strange, peculiar, and, if you ask me, ought to be illegal. Everyone should have a chip implanted in their brain that says, “You’ve got mail!” and keeps saying it till they respond, especially to MY mail! (Or, in this case, YOUR mail!) **Wyatt** , while the goal here is perfect typing (as well as grammar and spelling, not to mention avoiding attracting folks like the Fat Police[sup]TM[/sup] by intemperate references to people’s size), fact is that most of us are far more eager to just get our words of wisdom out there than proofreading our own posts. I’m practically the queen of screwed-up coding, due to my fast-but-sloppy typing techniques. So just learn to :smack: yourself periodically when you screw up, like the rest of us, so nobody calls you a :wally! ---

It’s two words, but White Rabbit is an Asian candy. (I think it’s made in China, but I could be wrong, and I don’t have a bag to look at right now.) It’s this white chewy stuff. I know that doesn’t sound terribly appetizing or descriptive, but it’s oddly addictive. I’m guessing you can get it at pretty much any Asian store. I keep meaning to ask the mods to capitalize the “w”, but I keep forgetting. And I never should have mentioned to **Mama Tiger** that I was in this thread. 😃 ---

She didn’t actually offer it to me, so I’m hesitant to use it. Sherri is my ex-GF, whom I suspect is keeping an eye on me, here. At least, I’m pretty sure she has read this thread, based on her behavior, Tuesday night, when she came over to pick up a few odds and ends, and have dinner. It never occurred to me she would do so, but there’s no other explanation for her behavior. No name, yet, for the aardvark.
