That’s what makes them extremists. The reasonable, rational leftists aren’t “far” left, for the same reason; their reasonableness and rationality disqualifies them. I agree that those are extreme positions. I’ve never met anyone who espoused any of them, however. And i hang with some pretty left-wing people. There are a lot of people in the world, and for any opinion you can imagine, I’m sure there’s someone, somewhere, who holds it. But are there people who hold these positions who matter to anyone else? Except their immediate family? ---
