I’ve read this thread all the way through and wondered Wesley\_Clark, if it started in an administrative dept of an educational institution or maybe a place of employment like where I work. I work at a place where employees usually have the expectation to occasionally advocate for adults with developmental disabilities. At my job, attitudes can be held on to way too ferociously. The empathy is there if it’s similar to that. ---
