Well, if biggirl is stopping, I’ll step in…Dr. love, shut up. You have no idea what is causing ANY of us to be overweight. And just exercise? Fine. I do. And I am still VERY overweight. I can’t exercise for more than 15 minutes. So sorry. My medications don’t help either. Biggirl was right…if all it took was moving, no one would be overweight. So do us ALL a favor, and shut up. Okay, here’s my story, in a little more detail. My thyroid died when my daughter was 6 months old. Since then, I have had numerous medication adjustments(read:weight gain each time), a total of 9 surgeries(not including the 5 prior to that), several injuries to my feet and knees, moderately severe arthritis(yes, I know I’m young, tell that to my bones), and as a result of the last surgery, spent last Dec. in a wheelchair. So, now I’m really fat. BUT. I’m also doing something about it, now that I can. I walk every day, I joined a water aerobics class, I’m watching what and how much I eat, and I’ve lost 15lbs since Feb 1st. It can be done, Opal, I’m mainly trying to say, don’t give up! I’ll be in your corner, and so will all the people on this board who are worth knowing(99% of them).
