A 29-year-old friend of mine married a 21-year-old guy. After a year of being married, they decided to try to have kids. She got pregnant instantly. Remember that 22-year-old guys are about as fertile as guys get and remember to take whatever protective steps you take. That is, unless you’re trying to beget the son and heir. ---

Close enough anyway to have a local watering hole in common: BP’s, a sports bar with pizza, beer, and a couple of pool tables. Nice place, pretty relaxed and casual. BTW, **Alice** , Spoonette didn’t take much convincing. She’s just back from a business trip, and could use something to eat. Not sure when you might be there, but it looks like we’ll be there at some point. ---

Sounds like this date could be a tad uncomfortable, laden with worry whether anything will happen or not. So I recommend the only responsible approach is to fuck him silly as soon as you meet. Then you have plenty of time for relaxed, stress free dinner and conversation, during which you can both plan subsequent rounds. Just trying to help. ---

Spoonette is quite hungry–they don’t feed you lunch on planes any more, of course–so we’ll be heading there shortly. I’ll try to keep us there for a while, but depending on when you’re planning to show up, we may be gone. Anyway, have a great time! ---

Now, if one person is 18 and the other is 28, I might question the older person’s maturity for seemingly wanting nothing more than to bang a teenager. ---

[/QUOTE] For me, a 25 y/o and a 36 y/o isn’t perverted regardless of the genders involved, since both folks are adults. For me, it only becomes creepy if it seems like there is an imbalance of power or maturity such that one person in the couple appears to be taking advantage of the other, which is generally only an issue in cases like the grown man dating a teenager that I mentioned before. Oh, and Hugh Hefner dating those girls young enough to be his granddaughters kind of creeps me out too. 🙂 My guess is that some people find it creepier when older men date younger women because of the prevailing stereotype that sex with no strings attached is more appealing to men than to women, so when an older guy has sex with a young female it’s assumed he’s taking advantage of her. Meanwhile, if an older woman wants to sleep with a young man, they take that as meaning he has gotten lucky, since most young guys would really rather not have a serious relationship anyway. And let’s face it: There’s also probably some jealousy involved. The singles scene can be brutal for older women, since the pool of eligible bachelors shrinks as you get older (since men die off earlier and more readily than women do). I imagine some older owmen resent it when they feel like that already small pool of eligible men is being made even smaller because the guys are going after young, pretty little bimbos. Perhaps men don’t feel the same jealousy about women chasing young boytoys simply because it as prevalent as the reverse situation (at least not yet). Traditionally, women have been more concerned with snaring the richest man they can get rather than the prettiest, youngest man, so old guys don’t necessarily have to feel threatened. ---
