Let’s clear something critical up right now. This is **not** _all_ Internet traffic. It is just the [number of web pages](http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-25346235) [visited](http://www.incapsula.com/the-incapsula-blog/item/820-bot-traffic-report-2013). A much smaller proportion of overall traffic. In particular, it doesn’t count video streaming such as Netflix which is a major load on the Internet. It also doesn’t count email, file sharing, etc. The article linked to in the OP is incredibly poorly written. ---
