Yep. How hard is it to sit around and wait for his demise? Two years, you’ll be in charge. If not, I’d just tell him I got another golf tournament to play, so, no can do on VP work. Or, even better, need to choose new fabric patterns for condo decoration. ---

Absolutely not. Even if we were of the same political leaning and the politician was somebody I loved and admired, absolutely not. I don’t want to be part of that world and have absolutely no interest in it. ---

You wouldn’t be _required_ to do the job if it fell to you. You _would_ be required to name a new VP. And then you could resign yourself. Or you could even resign right away and throw it over to the Speaker of the House. In the meantime, you could sit back and collect your $160K per annum until it comes time to cross that bridge. ---
