They’re in shock. Like the British band that played “The World Turned Upside Down” as Cornwallis surrendered, they don’t believe it, but there it is. They know, for a fact, for a rock solid inarguable fact!..that they are the true majority of Americans, that most Americans think like they do, that everybody knows America is a center right country. So what has happened, can’t have happened, not without some really rank and evil mojo. They believe that if they scream the awful truth loud enough, their fellow Americans will snap out of their trance and sweep the Palin/Bachmann ticket into office… ---

I’m sure the teachers on this board do a bang up job with their students but don’t delude yourselves that this is a teaching moment. It’s not. All the White House has managed to do so far is make an embarrassing admission that they had to rewrite the speech. Obama’s numbers are tanking over the economy and this bit of PR fluff is going to rub people the wrong way. Fortunately it’s not going to cost any money.
