I already know how I learn. I learn by examples, learning maps, describing what I don’t know and what I need to know and describing it all in detail. I learned this the first semester in college by reading books on learning. But because the works of Colin Rose (one of the few/only people who try to teach effective learning methods) are only good for learning new languages I made this post a couple of weeks ago.
And I don’t see why everyone thinks I am assuming that classes that give out more As and Bs mean I don’t have to learn. All it means is that I have a sense of security which will lower my stress level. I know that even if I screw up or don’t know things perfectly that I will still be ok in the end, its the same sense of peace religious folks who believe in an afterlife have that no matter the current turmoil it will all be ok in the end. And the grades of a class also reflect the competence of the professor. My current organic professor was considered a great professor by other students and I have no trouble whatsoever in organic. My younger brother, when he took organic, had a russian professor who didn’t use the book, didn’t give notes, and didn’t explain things clearly. He worked harder than me for the same grades. And i’ve learned more in 30 minutes with my AI in inorganic than I have in 2 hours of lecture with the professor because the AI knows how to teach alot better. So these ratings are also a sign of how competent the instructor is at explaining the info. The idea that I should seek out professors who give out lower grades and do a worse job of explaining the subject because it ‘builds character’ is something I can’t grasp.
