Oh! The blimp-manity!!

Mynn & Revtim, I live in East Boca, below Camino Real, but above 18th - you know: near the Publix that has valet parking! Where are you?

My father grew up in a town at the far end of Long Island, New York. The Hindenberg would often fly overhead on it’s way to 'Jersey. One afternoon, he and his mates watched it pass over, but paid it no mind. It’s not until they got home from playing that they learned it was no more. A witness to Thursday’s Goodyear blimp crash said it came down fast and he was scared that it would explode. It’s amazing the impact of the images of the Hindenberg disaster have had, as well as the commentary from the reporter, resulting in the “… all the humanity …” line. I remember they even quoted from it on WKRP in Cincinnati!

Oooh, the valet Publix! When my Mom visited me a few years ago, she was so impressed with that she took a picture. So embarrassing…

I’m out west right now, just north of Yamato and west of Lyons.

The first car we had after we moved down here ended up as having no driver’s side window, no parking brake, one really bad tire that made the rear end shimmy, and the ignition was shot, so you had to turn off the engine by taking a crescent wrench to the battery itself, to disconnect the lead. I was considering letting them valet park it just for the laugh, but the tip necessary probably would have cleaned out my bank account…
