Ever see the movie [Tourist Trap](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080040/) ? It’s about a guy who is turning people into mannequins. Scared the bejeebus out of me when I was about 12 or 13. Recently watched it and wasn’t all that scared by it (25 years later) but I immediately thought of that movie. The retouching makes these kids’ flesh look like plastic! ---

And you know what? I bet you if the “artist” read this thread, she would think that all the comments about “plastic” and so on mean that the children look “too perfect” and feel smugly superior that her skills are fantastic and we just don’t agree with her choices. She wouldn’t understand that we don’t think the kids look like ultra-perfect children, but rather that we think they look like bizarre mutants, or like very badly done airbrush paintings. She manages to remove all facial contouring, all semblance of realistic shading… god it’s just scary how bad she is at what she does! ---
