Clearly, we need to make sure that everyone only cooks and eats food that belongs to their culture. There must be no mixing, adaptation, or integration whatsoever. _Then_ we’ll have solved racism. Right? ---

One of the Asian markets I shop in The Strip District has a whole aisle of nothing but instant ramen. Every time I go there, I see Asian people loading up on the stuff. I usually pick up a few packages myself, often based on packaging art since they aren’t all labelled in English. The products themselves are typically no better or worse than the instant ramen sold in mainstream US grocery stores. The only real difference is that stuff labelled as spicy will actually be quite peppery. The little envelopes of desecrated vegetables and such truck that some of them include are fun in a playing with your food way, but they don’t really add much flavor or texture.
