“Oh the humanity”

I may be worse; my first thought is of Chandler Bing, reacting to Ross flirting with the pizza delivery girl by way of explaining gas to her . . .
“Lots of other gas smells”.

It’s one of my favorite lines from Friends, and I didn’t even know it had been previously, famously used for comedic effect (and I’ve *seen *the turkey episode :smack:)

I did think this would be a Hindenburg thread (but secretly *hoped *it would be a Friends thread).

I am grateful that he used the word “humanity”. Without it, we never would’ve had this classic riff from MST3K’s Prince of Space episode:

“Oh, the inanity!”
“Oh, the Japanity!”

And a quote from The Big Bang Theory:

Amy: Well then, prepare to be terrified. If your friends are unconvincing, this year’s donations might go to, say, the Geology department.
Sheldon: Oh no. Not the dirt people!
Amy: Or, worse still, it could go to the liberal arts.
Sheldon: No!
Amy: Millions of dollars being showered on poets, literary theorists and students of gender studies.
Sheldon: Oh, the humanities!

Yes, I got the reference and yes, I still laughed.
