By the way, I’ve always assumed that “smeggy” is an abbreviation for “smells eggy”. Am I correct? ---

Since she signed it “Meg”, I’m assuming it’s a reference to the nickname “Meggy”. Meggy is a cute name, but Smeggy. . . well, I’d change it too. Sounds too much like a kid’s term for smegma. :eek: Your Quadell ---

Well, I detailed the origin of this name in one of the many “about your user name” threads, so I won’t go through that again. Would you believe that I made it my whole life (until I got to this board, that is) without ever learning the term smegma. I have recevived numerous e-mails from others on this board (some nice, some not so) regarding the name, which began as an innocent adaptation of “It’s Meggy!!” So Unc, if you want it, go for it. I won’t hold you back. ---

Delete the file C:\Windows\Cookies[yourname]@ubbcgi.txt This will force a choice of login or register the next time you post. Don’t let them erase your old name, as you can see someone else will take it. It’s like they’re trying on your old underwear! Ewww ---

I don’t think I could re-register without them de-registering my current profile unless I get another e-mail address, which I don’t wish to do at this time. I want to go by the book with the name change, as it is strictly forbidden to have 2 user names, and I don’t want to be banned for life for such a silly mistake. As I understand it, they don’t “erase” the name. It still appears on old posts, only instead of “member” appearing under the name, “unregistered” appears. I don’t know Ike that well, but I seriously doubt he would actually want to replace such a cool user name. (particularly with one that will inspire such negative reactions.) ---

It’s good to _be_ back, and I shall endeavor to give satisfaction. – smells eggy * * * 3 large eggs, beaten 1 tblsp butter kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to taste 1 heaping tblsp finely chopped red onion 1 heaping tblsp finely chopped tomato 1 tsp finely shopped fresh dill Melt butter in saute pan and cook onion until softened but not browned. Add eggs, salt, and pepper. When eggs begin to set, add tomato and dill. Cook to desired doneness. ---

Um… two things that are concerning me: 1. yesterday, smeggy had “unregistered” under it, now it says “member” again. I hope this won’t cause me to get booted. 2. The poster known as chrome toaster assimilated one of my posts in an MPSMS thread. I should have waited to change until the board was certified to be in good health?
