I was once shown a little video that the salvors of the Kirki put together for their own (and the salvage arbitration panel’s) amusement. It was called “What Really Happened”

“Mate, have I got time for a last fag, over?”
[Pilot] “Yeah, but make it quick, we’ll be on scene in a 3 minutes, over”
[Shot of salvage op, lighting up]
[Pilot] “Better get that fag out, mate, we’re nearly there, over”
[Shot of salvage op desperately getting his few last drags in]
[Pilot again “Have you got that smoke out, over?”
“Just a second, mate”
“Put the bloody thing out, NOW. We’re nearly there, over”
“Yeah righto, righto, don’t get your knickers in a twist”

[Cut to footage of front of Kirki, bow broken away, oil going everywhere. BOOM! The whole front of the ship goes up in a ball of flame]
