There is a considerable body of evidence that in geographical terms many “normal Americans” would [self-identify as “racist rednecks”](http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mejn/election/2016/countymappurple1024.png) and are entirely comfortable voting for a narcissistic demogogue who [routinely disparages provisions of the US Constitution which he finds inconvenient](http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/chapman/ct-perspec-chapman-trump-constitution-war-20171013-story.html), although to be absolutely fair Trump has not been so specific as Moore has as to eliminate Amendments 11 through 33, including those particularly troubling 13-15, 19, and 24 ones that recognized basic civil liberties and gave the franchise to uppity darkies and women-folk. Alabamians are on average just a little more comfortable with the image of being represented by an openly racist pedophile who dresses like a Howdy Doody’s creepy grandpa.

Tomorrow’s results will probably be as much of a shock as the last presidential election. Which direction this result will follow still remains to be seen.
In short, I didn’t think Dumpster would be elected. I’m hoping Moron isn’t either. We’ll see.

State-level polling is predictably wild and all over the place. I suspect it’ll be close, but it’s hard to believe that a Democrat wins a senate race. Typically, Roy Moore would have a greater chance of losing his party’s primary election than the general election. While he’s an unusually polarizing candidate, I think that still stands, except that instead of winning by 20 percent he might win by 2-4%. I would absolutely love to be wrong though.

Tomorrow we get to see what is more distasteful amongst Alabamans: voting for a pedophile or voting for a man who put their Klancestors in jail.
I think they get revenge for their Klancestors and Moore wins, 55-44.

A 32 year old chasing (and molesting) a middle-schooler. _Much_ better.
Let’s not forget his racism, xenophobia, his contempt for large portions of the Constitution and being an InsaneChristan-American.
