# OK, Christmas is Over. Is It Too Early to Talk About Spiffle II?

Since the first Springfield, IL gathering was in February, I figure late December is as good a time as any to start talking about the second one.

I like Feb. 17th. It can’t be on Feb. 24th because I’m going to Mardi Gras that weekend. As for the place: I can think of no better way to innaugurate Springfield’s new Hooter’s than a Dopefest; but I don’t want to be insensitive to the women who may come. The Spot is out; the horseshoes were terrible and the service was worse.

As for attendees: myself, **David B, Flypsyde** , and **tygre** will have no excuse if we’re not there, since we live in this freaking town. **Duck Duck Goose** lives somewhere in downstate Illinois (at least he/she has hinted that they do), but I don’t know where. Those of you who were at the first one are certainly welcome, too ;).

So that’s where it stands. I hereby propose a Springfield, Illinois Dopefest on Feb. 17th at Hooters.

And when **Flypsyde** reads and responds to this thread, I will gladly hand over my duties as MC of both this thread and of the ensuing dopefest to him.

Oh lord…is it time to get Spiffled again?

I’m in. However, where shall we all stay this time, since I _doubt_ the Renaissance will let us come back, and Flyp’s already said no one can stay with him again. 🙂

You’re in luck. There’s a Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza about 100 yards from the new Hooter’s. It’s _literally_ right across the parking lot. You could walk the distance in less than a minute.
