I’m not going to claim I’m better, because I don’t think anyone is better than anyone else. But here’s the difference, he’s being an asshole to everyone. I’m being an asshole to an asshole. Y’see, anytime I insult someone, I’m having fun doing it. I wouldn’t do it otherwise (unless I’m defending myself). But I’m a decent person so I only do it to the people who I think deserve it, just like most others. And if I can, I do it for constructive purposes. We’re not picking on the skinny little kid who can’t stand up for himself, we’re picking on the jerk who thinks he’s bigger than he is. ---

Interpreter, The matter will drop itself if DTL decides to chicken out of his own thread and not return. Don’t worry about it. And as said, nobody is attacking DTL “just because it is the thing to do”. He pissed a lot of people off with his lies ([read all about it](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=31688)). Then, he opens this thread because apparently, I in particular am an asshole for pointing out his horrible rudeness. I still don’t understand why it had to be ME, where there were 40 others telling him he was one fucked up donkey felcher (hey, some people asked for more use of this word - there ya go). What the hell do you expect people to do, just let it slide? This thread is two days old! The OP pissed many people off. It’s only logical people are taking stabs at someone they dispise. Especially if that someone basically ASKS, no, BEGS for it. ---

I really don’t see why these two statements would contradict each other, bj0rn. I told you that posting remarks, that would insult 70% of our posters, is a bad thing. You then talked about the Internet being international: I called that crap because it has nothing to do with it. You KNEW that a lot of people would be pissed off. Okatym argued that DTL probably was ignorant about the Holocaust and its effects because of his relative distance (in space AND time) to the events. I told her that that doesn’t pardon him at all, since historical knowledge and common courtesy can and must be expected from a Straight Dope poster. Because of the worldwide coverage of posters, he KNEW that this was going to piss people off. That’s why I called on you in the past, and on DTL now. ---

no coldfire, i was simply replying to statements made. expecting ENGLISH-ONLY posters on this board is wrong, as can be clearly read from the statement you made earlier in this thread. why is it wrong? because although this messageboard is being posted 99,99% in english, there are phrases, sentances and language practices like sarcasm that can lead to misunderstanding because in/direct translation of the words is not always true. therefore you make your own “holocaust” when you rudely critizise drainthelizards rude post, with you in the role of the doers. in the thread i provided a link to in my previous post, you attacked my because i didnt know the “globally” accepted word “holocaust”. my, my…ive learned it! you were offended because i called it “the jewish thingy”. perhaps you were right to be offended, perhaps you overreacted. the point here is that drainthelizard made a BAD post, you replied rudely…some time went by and drainthelizard started this thread. he rudely accused you of many things not worth mentioning again. but you, coldfire and the minions that are hiding behind your back, did exacly the same. it just sounded better because you have got practise. your practise however is limited, to your minions as i would like to call them.
