I was sure I saw a thread within the last week about a new white elephant exchange. Did I dream it? I don’t want to be in charge of one, but I think I’d participate again, if one happened to get started… ---

I haven’t seen a white elephant thread recently. That doesn’t mean one wasn’t there, I could have missed it. ---

I want a white elephant thread! What’s a white elephant thread? It appears to be an exchange of some sort, which sounds cool, except I don’t have any elephants to offer, white or otherwise. Could someone spot me an elephant? ---

eek! I don’t have the time or expertise to oversee the best exchange on the SDMB. Maybe on Monday someone better will volunteer. Pleeeeaaaassssee? **Mindfield** , surely you’ve know what a White Elephant is? It’s whatever useless stuff you have to send to another doper. It’s great fun. ---

Hmmm…I always mean to save stuff up for this, but usually find enough stuff to throw in a box. I’m looking forward to this! GT
