I don’t usually pass on news like this, but sometimes we need to pause
and remember what life is about…
There was a great loss recently in the entertainment world. Larry
LaPrise, the Detroit native who wrote the song “Hokey Pokey,” died last
week at 83.
## It was especially difficult for the family to keep him in the casket. They’d put his left leg in and…well you know the rest.

It would seem, for Larry LaPrise, that the Hokey Pokey was _indeed_ what it was all about.

Wait a minute—the “hokey pokey” guy died a coiple of years ago, I rememeber his Times obit!

I know the whole state of Texas is in mourning because he said the Hokey Pokey could never be used in Country Western bars again after his death and now that only leaves the Two Step and Line Dances for the cowboys to wrangle their cowgirls with. 😉 (from a former Texan)
