It’s the first time I can remember a good guy using this word about a villain. Normally, it’s the other way around. I think Hulk punched Thor when they were just standing beside each other because he was still annoyed about Thor fighting with him on the helicarrier. I agree that they should’ve mentioned War Machine. In the situation they were in, they needed all hands on deck. And, if they’re looking for a villain, forget Thanos, Loki, etc. Who I really want to see the Avengers battle is (drumroll, please): BAD HORSE! (The Thoroughbred of Sin! Not to mention, a certain scientist with a Ph.D. in Horribleness…) 🙂 ---

The scene’s purpose–other than to get a laugh–is to show us that even though Hulk is working with the good guys, he’s still unpredictable. ---

It holds up on a second viewing. I might even see it again, but not for a couple of weeks at least. Widow definitely uses her stunners. Weren’t they ranged weapons in the comics, or am I mis-remembering? Maybe she can get an upgrade for sequels. Really impressed with Sam Jackson’s performance. He toned down the whole “Samuel Mothafuckin’ Jackson” bit. He did a good job being, as he put it, “very desperate,” in full knowledge that he had placed the earth’s safety in the hands of a band of dysfunctional freaks. Looked for **Elendil’s Heir** in the opera house scene, but missed him. will try again with the DVD. I heard Stark’s line to Hawkeye as “buckle up lip-gloss,” which didn’t make a lot of sense, so I’m glad I read this thread. ---
