I am so happy for you both. Yet it is a happiness tempered with regret, for I fear I may never again ogle **Geobabe’s** gams, or, worse yet, never eat mints from between her perfect ta-tas. Or else risk a massive pounding from **Uncle Bill**. **sigh** Love is grand. You two are grand. My piano is grand. The weirdest thing about all this is that Lise was in my dream last night. Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. To answer at least some of the questions, we’d been talking about it for a little while, so I knew he was going to propose, I just didn’t know when. What with all the wedding frenzy already going on, I was trying only partly successfully to be patient and let him take things at his own pace. He took me completely by surprise with the timing. It was about half an hour before my flight was supposed to take off, so by that point I figured it would be on some subsequent visit. I was sitting there completely unsuspecting when he went down on bended knee. I burst into tears when he pulled out the ring-- I’ll work on getting a picture posted, but for now, it’s a very simple diamond solitaire (he knew I didn’t want a big rock or anything too fancy, it’s not my style), and it’s perfect. No date has been set yet. We’ve got a few other things we need to figure out before we work on the wedding, like where we’re going to live. Negotiations are ongoing. My sister has ordered that we get married as soon as possible, because she wants nieces and nephews. We’ll see about that. Those who enjoy flirting with will still be able to, not to worry. Bill has been the BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, and I’m quite certain he’ll be the best husband in the world too. Just like **Lucretia** and **Bluesman** , we both understand that flirting is a great ego boost and tremendous fun, and we trust each other absolutely. So there will still be gam-ogling, mint-eating and all sorts of other fun things when I’m around. ---

How perfectly beautiful. So, did he wait until you only had thirty minutes before flight departure time so that… A) You wouldn’t have time to dash off to the conveniently located broom closet off the concourse for a fast one? B) You could only sob with joy in his arms for about 25 minutes, therefore cutting down the amount of difficult-to-remove salt stains on his suede jacket shouder? C) He knew he wanted to, but it took him up till then to screw up the courage to do it? D) There was some other guy seven seats over who’d just proposed to HIS girlfriend, and Bill wanted to let the air settle a bit before HE had his big moment? E) He wanted the flight crew to see it so you’d be showered with champagne all the way home, not to mention a set of those amazingly cool plastic “wings” they give to new fiancees and small children?
