OK, What about THIS picture

My track teammate has a shirt with this exact photo on it. He’s had it for over a year. I’m pretty certain the shirt said something about steroids or some other kind of performance enhancing drug and referencing it as the cause of the break. While this isn’t what I’d call the greatest of sources, I think it’s worth considering.

I think there is plenty of space for someone to open a door and come out of a space like that. Two interpretations:

  1. if it is a two way then the skinny tree is ~16" away from the curb, add 4" for the park and the angle of the car opening then the passenger can easily come out. However, the guywire or whatever it is could quite possible block the driver-side to some extent (the door could be openned but not fully) if the car is parked facing the left. If this is the case then…
2)i. If it is a two-way then the handi-capped painting is facing the wrong direction, so is the sign.

2)ii. The width of the street appears so that it can only have one lane of traffic, which poses the question why the cars are facing left and the parking spots designed for traffic heading right.

Parking meters in a residential area?

That brown pole or whatever it is looks 8" wide but the depth of field makes it look like its only 2" deep (look at the base) contra to the ridges in the middle of the image making it appear circular. It is also extremelly close to the street lamp, wouldn’t there be some kind of regulation about that? Also, well, what is that thing?

Also, it does appear to be a one way “left bound”, the right side appears to be an intersection, at the far right there is the beginning of a rounded edge. The area to the next parking space is so narrow it appears so that you can only turn left which goes back to #2.

Oops just ignore 2)i.

I’m declaring this horse dead, and stopping the beating.
