In my 31 years I have never seen anything so nasty. My brother in law advised that he saw a grey mouse leaving the area last night and climbing into a whole in the wall. He said it was moving slow and missing half it’s tail. We do have bait station all over the house from previous incidents.

IMHNSO these dropping look to large to come from a mouse. Please tell me we do not ahve rats in our 800k house ☹

Pics of said poop

FYI, those poops are roughly 2 inches long.

Oh my good, I forgot this site does not have a edit button and I found too many typos in that last post ☹

Nothing I love more than pictures of poop. Ever checked out ratemypoo dot com? Good stuff!

That being said, those are NOT mouse turds. I don’t know what they are, but mouse turds are about the size of a grain of rice. Those look like the size of one of those PlayDoh extrusion mold deals.

PS. Did you really need to drop the value of your house in there?

Don’t worry. When you sign up, you get a five-minute edit window on each successfully-posted message specifically to catch typos. 🙂

Unfortunately, I am not a poopologist, so I can’t answer your question. But I do know that rats are not finicky creatures.

</div>

You do not have rats.

It **isn’t** either rat or mouse poo, being wayyyyy too big for either. Mouse droppings are…well, think “tiny raisins”. And for rat poo, think “large dry pellets”. Neither of them leaves huge, long poops like that.

My guess would be (a) raccoon, (b) opossum, © skunk, or (d) small dog, that somehow got into your house.

I know, scary stuff. I have been to ratemypoo dot com. I am a poop connoisseur. Sorry about the $$$ drop. I get that habit from my father, he always drops the price of everything buys. This seems to be very common amognst those who grew up poor and did well for themselves in later life. Me on the other hand, I grew rich, became poor and climbed my way back up.

I have the pest control guy coming in the AM, I will be sure and post his opinion on what kind of creature this is from. I have to really think I would notice having (a) raccoon, (b) opossum, © skunk, or (d) small dog in the house. I do have a shih-tzu but his crap puts these to shame :).

I don’t know if you have a particular sensitivity to animal poop or you have lead a very very lucky life. Never seen anything so nasty? I think I see much nastier things on a monthly basis, and that’s in person. If you count the Internet then probably daily.

Can’t you guys tell he’s a “poop connoisseur”? He took 2 pictures of the poop w/different lighting!

Please don’t confuse the poop connoisseur with the king pooper of a by-gone age, the poopasaurus rex.

(seriously now…it looks a little small for cat poop. I’ll cast my uninformed vote for wild ferret house invader.)

Toad poops look like that, but I doubt a toad would poop so many. Or get into your house and poop on the floor like that.

Which is really not helpful, but I wanted a chance to type “toad poop.”

Raccoons will eat rodents, so it’s possible the mouse you saw was an escapee from the raccoon’s clutches. If it’s a raccoon.

Looks like dog crap to me. Maybe your dog got into something that didn’t agree with it and had a little problem with it’s stomach. Just a guess really, but I’ve had a lot of small dogs in the past and can tell you that when they’re having stomach problems, you’re NEVER gonna know what’s gonna happen.
