Intelligent,extrovert,bookreader preferably well travelled and has an interest in something like archaeology or astronomy. Physically not obese but not painfully thin but otherwise I’m pretty flexible. Must love sex. ---

Me: shortish (5’ 8"), athletic, early 30s and a complete artiste (complete with moodiness and ridiculous and random flights of fancy). Her: breathing. 🙂 Actually, petite women on the serious side and geek factor turned up to 11 have always done it for me. I have a friend that is so into video games it makes me look like I’ve just recently discovered Pac-Man. It is sooooo hot… unfortunately she’s completely committed to her college sweetheart, so no go. Brunette and slender also will get my attention, as will glasses. I love glasses on a woman. Mmm. ---

Physical: Short dark hair, medium frame/height, nice eyes, and a good smile can make me melt (or blush, which seems to happen more often.\_ I prefer non-scruffy guys as I’ve noticed that my skin turns red and itchy if I mess around with someone with a scruffy face for too long. Character: I like guys who are open to trying new things, laid back and not high maintenance, independent and mature. I’m a bit of a geek so I like guys who I can play games with (but whose life doesn’t revolve entirely around games.) Bonus points if they’re into languages. 🙂 ---

I’m a straight guy, 30 yrs old. What turns me on: - Interests in geeky things. - Appearance is not important. However, a “girl next door” look would earn bonus points… - On the other hand, anyone who is excessively concerned about her appearance is a big turn off. - Must be emotionally secure and confident in herself. My last girlfriend for some reasons doesn’t feel that she can accomplish anything, and basically needs a lot of reassurances. This gets very tiring after a while. - Bonus points if she enjoys spending time outdoor. I enjoy hiking and biking when I have the chance. ---

I like boyish, creative, intelligent, funny women. Slim and petite. Sometimes I like to see muscle. A lot of those kinds of women turn out to prefer other women. Something of an obstacle, I think, as I am a straight male. Not that it matters, really, as women don’t seem to find me appealing in any case. These days, I’d take almost anything. ---

Ugh, these threads always make me feel hideous. Me: 29, female, single, fat brunette curlyheaded geek with glasses. Looking for a guy who is: Older than me, at least a little. I know a guy I’d totally ask out if he wasn’t six years younger than I am. I feel like Mrs. Robinson, completely irrationally. Dark hair, preferably. Devastatingly intelligent. Wickedly funny but not a cynical bastard. Bill Hicks was funny but I wouldn’t want to date him. I like to actually smile unironically once in a while. Gentlemanly: at least pretend not to be a lech sometimes, mkay? Thin and wiry is good. Chubby is good. Well-groomed is best: you can be friggin’ Hugh Jackman with a little James Purefoy sprinkled on top for good measure, but if you can’t wash your hair I don’t want to deal with you. Not too good looking. If Hugh Jackman really did walk up to me and say “ **Ninja** , my dear, you are the light of my life and the joy of my desiring. Let’s screw like bunnies” I would stare at my feet and shuffle around. Blatantly handsome is intimidating and tongue-twisting. I’m always weirded out when handsome men are sweet to me: it makes me wonder what they want, because I know they can’t possibly be attracted to me. 😕 Very important: must be geeky or at least geek-tolerant. I play video games and prance around in silly costumes and quote Shakespeare and watch scifi movies. I will watch football with you if you will come see the next Harry Potter movie with me. ---

Straight male, 16. And most of these are desirable features, not prerequisites. -No piercings, except one on each ear, maybe two. -No tattoos. -Breasts that aren’t gigantic. -Brown, black, or platinum (or very light, not “dirty blond”) blond hair. Especially not red hair. -Light-colored eyes. -Foreign, or of foreign descent. -Persian/Indian. -Or German/Scandinavian. -If Western European, pale rather than tan. -Non-hairy arms. -Height doesn’t really matter, barring a dwarf or an Amazon woman. -Not necessarily really skinny, but an ectomorphic body, even “boyish”, shape rather than “curvy”. -No drugs or cigarettes. -No alcohol. -No promiscuity. -Doesn’t swear, or at least not often. (Can you tell I’m reading the other lists and picking out things that other people like that I hate? ;)) -At least mildly introverted. -A “girly-girl”. -Not vapid, but (if I’m going to be honest here) not a lot smarter than I am, either. -Prefers wearing more “formal” clothes rather than T-shirts and jeans. -Not too much makeup; not too little, either. -Some people have listed “not clingy”, eh, as long as she weren’t whiny, I wouldn’t mind someone who wanted to talk/be together all the time.
