The answer to the question can only depend on how you choose to define the “typical conservative” in terms of the militancy of their objection to homosexuality. Unless you can somehow come up with a relatively unassailable definition of what a “typical conservative” is, your question cannot reasonably be provided with an answer that is qualified beyond baseless speculation.
I have no issues with gay couples adopting either, although single gay men should be treated with the same suspicion straight single men are when desiring to adopt a daughter. There’s no law against it, but in practice it’s very, very difficult.
