# Okay, how do I figure out why I can't log into Google?

I’ve narrowed the problem down to Chrome. On MS Edge no problems, in Chrome I load the choose an account page but it’s just an image with no links. Privacy and Security settings for [accounts.google.com](http://accounts.google.com) doesn’t flag anything as forbidden. And it was working as of four or five days ago and I can’t think of anything I’ve changed.

Try logging in on an incognito window. If that works, the issue may be a cookie.

Incognito worked. So I’ll try clearing cookies for that page…
Now when I try to enter my Google email (gmail) I get a message saying " The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know."

Further info: choosing guest as my profile also works. But in my main profile the screen that asks for my google email acts as though I hadn’t entered anything when I hit the next button.

Final update: fortunately I did not have to reinstall Chrome- just choosing reset defaults did the trick.
