Some people just looooooove getting up on their high horse and being offended. I presume they enjoy the melodrama, plus in their minds it makes them more noble and sensitive than the rest of the unwashed masses. And yep I see it all over the boards and there is no faster way to exasperate me. Here is something that is going to knock my popularity level to new lows, but I started to feel like it was happening a lot after we lost Wally. You know, some newbie would post something like ā€œWho is this Wally guy?ā€ which is an innocent enough question, albeit a little flippant, but understandable if the newbie didnā€™t know he had passed away under sudden circumstances. But man, some people would jump ALL OVER HIS SHIT like heā€™d just pissed on their motherā€™s gravestone. Donā€™t get me wrongā€“I know how much people were upset by Wallyā€™s loss, and heā€™s still missed. But some people [who had probably never posted on the same thread with him] took sanctimoniousness to previously unheard-of levels. Still and all, Esprix is probably right on the best way to handle it. You apologize as sincerely as possibleā€“even if you have to act. Heh. Then you back away, and keep your distance. ---
