This is a great one:

Parents are praising their daughter, a legendary ice skater. As they reminince we flashback to see a young ice skater in a green dress doing here routine. Then the parents said “She had this special move that was better than the rest”. We see the girl in green dress doing a spin. Then out of nowhere a girl in a hockey suit sakates over to do a vicious body check on the ice skater, as the parents proudly say, “Yeah that move”. The parents were the Granatos, talking about Cammy.

The outpost.come commercials. these are pretty old, but to this day they are my all time favorite commercials.

the first one was them firing hamsters (or gerbils) out of a cannon and trying to get it through the “o” in the name. What was funny was that they kept missing and hitting a brick wall.

The second one was where they are in a nursery and they say…"to help you remember the name, we’ve tattooed ‘[outpost.com](http://outpost.com)’ on these babies’s heads. And you see the forehead of a baby with the name on it, wrong but funny.

The final one was where they have a marching band spell out the name [outpost.com](http://outpost.com). And they say…“to make it more memorable we’ve decided to loose this pack of rabid wolves onto the field”. And you see all these wolves run out and the [outpost.com](http://outpost.com) starts to just disintegrate as they start to run from the wolves and the scene ends with wolves savaging some band member.

Hands down those are the funniest commercials I ever saw in my whole life.

Oh, man,

One I haven’t seen in a while but really made me chuckle was a 7-Up ad…

Guy is walking/dancing down the street wearing a T-shirt…

Front of the T-shirt: Make 7

Back of the T-shirt:

Up Yours 😃 😃 😃

During the Super Bowl, there was a commercial for some data backup/data recovery company. A manager and two employees are heading toward a meeting.

Manager: Are you sure you know everything we need to discuss in this meeting

Employee 1: Yeah boss I got it all right here (points to head)

The Employee immediately then hits his head on something and gets knocked out cold. Then, it cuts to the meeting

Employee 2: Don’t worry boss he told me everything things are going to be fine

Then THAT employee slips out of his chair, bangs his head on the table and gets knocked out cold. Priceless.

I forgot all about the 7-up commmercial and the data recovery one.

The 7-up one was good, but it took on new hilarity when someone I knew got ahold of one of those shirts, everytime he wore it to class I wanted to laugh.

The data recovery one was hilarious, but I only ever saw it once.

I like the “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon” ad for the credit card company and I’ll give another vote for the “Stay Curious” ads on PBS. Gotta love 'em.

But my favorite, which I only saw once on tv, but found later on the internet, is the election URL=http://www.harlessnet.com/charles/vote.mov]Snickers Commercial

I love the Volkswagen commercial that cuts between a woman waiting for her wedding ceremony to start & a man driving through the countryside trying to get there. The first time I saw it I thought he was the groom late for his own wedding. But at the end, you see he’s come to stop her from marrying another guy.

It’s even funnier when you compare it to an Apple comercial that was running at the same time. The same guy(at least actor) is on an island(Hawaiian or polynesian) and gets married to a girl and sends the DVD to his parents. It’s labeled John and Linda’s wedding (all names completely made up). The parents put in the DVD and the father says “Linda? what happened to Debbie?”

For the record I didn’t notice this myself, but saw a columnist mention it. But when I saw the two commercials I laughed my ass off. The columnist himself was wondering if it was intentional or accidental.

It’s funnier than either of you thinks. Are you just too young to remember the film classic _The Graduate_?

I didn’t think of it as funny. Poignant, rather. Romantic. And I love the music in the ad. In fact, that’s why I like the ad so much–the music.

I also like the Mitsubishi ad with the girl sort of breakdancing in the passenger seat. Again, the music. And some other musical car ads. (“Get up, get up, put the body in motion…” and the one where they sing along with the Barenaked Ladies.) They’re like itty bitty music videos that don’t suck. It’s an artistic achievement.

I like the visuals in the ThermaSilk ads, too.

The Bissell vacuum commercials - and not just because my husband is the industrial designer mgr there- but they are funny commercials.

The big bad bikers toasting with mugs of smoothies

The hausfrau in the bagless sweeper competition

THere is a funny new one for Verizon phones (the “Can you hear me…good” guy is wearing thin):

New-agey sensitive guy boss is up on the soap box telling the staff to think “out of the box”. Of course, everyone in the meeting is rolling their eyes and are sending text messages back and forth: “A boxy-moron!”, “A hack in the box”, etc. Then the boss draws a picture of a box, and a little stick figure guy on the edge of the paper…“See this box? You should be out here–” pointing to the stick figure. The funniest part is when the boss yells at one of the guys: “JESSE!!!” Jesse looks up sheepishly, thinking he was caught sending text messages–then the boss says, “Step away from the box.” The only thing that ruins the commercial is the aforementioned “CYHMG” guy shows up right at the end.

I always cackle at the newest Jack in the Box commercial for their club sandwich.

It begins set in the Earl of Sandwich’s court, where he’s introducing various sandwiches to the people (“Peanut butter - _and banana!_”) to great applause. At “Club sandwich!” the people mutter, the server asks “Why’s there bread in the middle?” and the earl screams “Silence!”

Cut to Jack peering at a club sandwich. “Why is there bread in the middle?” \<talks about the sandwich, which has no middle bread\> Office temp: “Where’s the middle bread?” Jack flips out exactly as the earl did: “Silence!”

It’s the second “Silence” that gets me.

Also the commercial for some video game which featured a Snuggles-esque teddy bear being run over by a tank.

The hubby and I saw one last night put us on the floor. A voice over says “When you meet your maker how will you explain to him that 72.4 years was NOT enough time to read his book?”
It is of course a commercial for getting a Bible out of the LDS Church… but it was funny anyway!😃

Anyways, I just love those Orbits (Orbitz?) gum commercials with that blond woman who shows up at various places where people are suffering some sort of non-refreshing situation, such as being splattered with mud from a dog, only to have her ask:

“But is your MOUTH fresh?”
And then the person smiles brightly, with the twinkle of light and a “Ting!” noise, and she says in this most wonderful way:
“Fabulous!” while kind of winking at us…

If I see these commercials, I’ll call for silence until she says that word. Then life can resume as normal…

How do you spell the name of that gum anyway??

I’ve only seen this one once, and it was about 2 a.m.

An elderly couple are getting ready for bed. The wife is reading a book, and the husband takes a pill and chases it with a glass of water. The husband then peeks under the blankets, which had been pulled up to his waist, and looks directly at the camera. He elbows the wife, who looks under the blanket with surprise too. She throws the book, he jumps on top of her and the screen goes black.

Then, white letters on the black screen read, something along the lines of "If only there was a pill to make your whole body hard… New York Sports Club.

There is a great one out now for the Visa Check card. A guy pulls up to a parking space in front of a grocery store. A sign above it states something like “Two Minute Parking.” He meets the eyes of a meter maid writing tickets about 4-5 cars ahead of him. Their eyes lock for a moment and then he BOLTS out of the car and into the store. She gets a determined look in her eye and starts writing tickets faster, working her way towards his car. Meanwhile, he is in the store running through the aisles at top speed, heaving groceries into his cart with incredible panache. Of course, he pays with his Visa check card and gets out to his car just in time. I guffaw every time. Of course, living in Ann Arbor, any parking ad is funny.

I also like the beer ad where a couple starts talking at the same time and then politely defer to each other with a “No, you go first!” So the guy goes first and breaks up with her, then asks what she was going to say. She says “I was just going to tell you that I won the lottery.” Snort.

My current favorite commercial is for the Volkswagen Jetta. A guy is sitting in his new Jetta in the driveway, reading the owner’s manual. He’s amazed by something he’s read, and rushes into the house. His wife is in her bathrobe, doing her nails, but he grabs her (“Honey! You gotta see this!”) and drags her outside, so he can show her this amazing thing – which is that you can set the window controls in your Jetta so that when you turn the key in the door, **all four windows roll down**. He’s very pleased, but when he turns back to his wife, she’s already closing the door behind her. Classic comedy situation – the man is enthusiastic about something, and the woman thinks he’s an idiot. What makes the ad work for me is the guy’s dejected sigh at the end.
