# Okey doke, it's been a week and this is STILL pissing me off...

I dunno why this long-dead thread was revived, but since someone else did it…why the heck not?

I had never heard of Perkins until I drove across the country this summer. They don’t have them in California, where I am from. Anyway, we stopped at one in southern Minnesota to have lunch. I am a vegetarian, and there was literally only one vegetarian item on the menu - spaghetti with marinara sauce. Even the salads had meat in them! No veggie-burger replacement options. So I got the spaghetti. No biggie.

Worst. Spaghetti. Ever. Gross. I didn’t know it was even possible to make spaghetti that poorly.

For the rest of the trip, every time it was time for a meal and my SO and I would have a little debate on where to eat, he would insist that I just pick something, or we’d find a Perkins. That threat made me pick pretty damn fast.
